L’Audace – Boutique fitness with space for focus
A place for movement that exudes tranquility: For L’Audace in Berlin, the spatial concept translates a contemporary Reformer Pilates program into a warm, clean interior design. The studio in Prenzlauer Berg combines training on a self-scheduled basis with digitally guided sessions. The boutique concept, accessible around the clock, forms the basis for a design that converges orientation, focus, and well-being.
Project profile · Location: Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg · Project type: Reformer Pilates studio · Task: Interior design for training area, reception and lounge · Design focus: Brand identity, textile ceiling and material and lighting concept · Presentation: Design visualizations.
The design visualizations showcase a restrained color palette of cream, sand, and warm wood tones. Large windows flood the training room with natural light. The reformers follow a clear spatial axis, while curved mirrors and soft ceiling panels create a calming rhythm. This results in a gym design that puts the movement of people at its core.

Materiality: warm surfaces, soft contours
The wood-toned floor gives the room a natural foundation. Light walls and furniture in soft beige tones create a calm and inviting atmosphere. The curved niches and vertical mirrors echo the same design language: curves connect the training area, reception, and lounge into a cohesive whole. The materials are deliberately understated to allow the individual details to stand out precisely.
The textile ceiling is particularly striking. Its pleats, arranged in strips, drape over the room like a light second layer. They lend depth to the rectilinear floor plan and create a subtle connection to the controlled, flowing movements of Pilates. The slim black lighting track adds a clear accent.
The brand becomes tangible in the space.
The reception area is designed as a tranquil arrival point. A rounded counter, a backlit brand niche, and organically shaped seating create a distinctive character. The lounge complements the training experience, providing a moment for arrival and reflection. Small shelves and integrated storage spaces extend the design concept into everyday use.
The logo is given a prominent place within the architecture. Light, proportion, and materiality frame it without overwhelming the space. This fusion of brand identity and interior design transforms a functional training area into a recognizable and distinctive place.

Light and atmosphere – from day to evening
During the day, the windows and light-colored surfaces create an open feel to the space. In the evening, the lighting design takes over: indirectly illuminated curves, individual accents, and the textile ceiling give the studio a more intimate atmosphere. The evening perspective demonstrates how the same spatial concept can accommodate different training times.
